About David Risk

Since April 2017, David Risk has served as President and CEO of Wixom, Michigan-based Future Pak, Ltd., a contract manufacturer and packager. David Risk is also the founder, President and CEO of Woodward Pharma Services, a company that provides outsourced commercial services to pharmaceutical manufacturers. Before starting Woodward Pharma Services, he played a major role in the sale of Amedra Pharmaceutical, LLC, Lineage Therapeutics, Inc., and CorePharma to Impax Laboratories for $700 million in 2015. 

Mr. Risk previously served as President of Amedra Pharmaceuticals, LLC, and also led its spin out from CorePharma in 2012. While at Amedra and CorePharma, Mr. Risk was responsible product licensing and acquisitions, closing transactions with GlaxoSmithKline, Shionogi and Teva. During his tenure at Amedra, the company successfully launch the authorized generic of Adrenaclick, an epinephrine auto-injector that competes head to head with Epipen. Furthermore, he has held leading roles in other pharmaceutical companies as well.

A product of Dartmouth College, where he was captain of the men’s ice hockey team, Mr. Risk is also a former professional hockey player.
